Maine Good Sam Club To Host “Happy 35th Birthday” Fall Samboree
 
WHAT/WHY:
The Maine Good Sam Club will host its annual fall Samboree September 7-9, 2007 at Fryeburg Fairgrounds in Fryeburg, Maine. This year’s theme is aimed to celebrate the 35th Birthday of the Maine Good Sam Club and will provide RVers with seminars, vendors, and a weekend of games and activities geared toward the entire family.
 
Early Bird parking opens Tuesday, September 4. The Early Bird Activities begin Wednesday, September 5 with games that will last throughout the weekend, campfires and entertainment at night. The activities on Thursday include a potluck dinner and Yankee Swap. Events on Friday begin with coffee and donuts, skillet throwing for the men, Delorme Mapping GPS systems seminar, and Opening Ceremonies followed by nightly entertainment.
 
On Saturday, September 8 attendees will enjoy a pancake breakfast, skillet throw for the women, and hot dog sales by chapter members for lunch. There will be a K-9 demonstration at 12:00 p.m. followed by a parade at 1:00 p.m. On Saturday evening there will be a fish chowder dinner, birthday cake and ice cream, and entertainment provided by Jose¢ Duddy.
 
Other Samboree activities include arts and crafts, bingo, games, raffles, flea market, children’s games, cribbage, door prizes, fitness walks, and a Chinese Auction. Everyone is welcome to attend, regardless if they are a Good Sam member.
 
The Samboree will conclude on Sunday, September 9, 2007 with coffee and donuts and a church service followed by closing ceremonies.
