Over 500 RVs Expected to be On-Site
Urbana, Ohio – April 20, 2007 - Good Sam Club members across the state are finalizing plans for their Spring State Samboree, which will take place May 11-13, 2007 at the Champaign County Fairgrounds in Urbana. The “Golden Oldies” Samboree promises a fun-filled weekend of activities, seminars and entertainment with attendees expected from across the state.
Each day is packed with many opportunities for entertainment with events such as Samgo, Horseshoes, Dominos, and Bean Bag Baseball as well as craft classes, seminars and a flea market. Tours will take place on Wednesday afternoon, Thursday morning and Friday morning.
In addition to the extensive activity line-up, nightly entertainment will be provided. A Golden Oldies Dance will take place on Thursday night with music provided by a DJ. On Friday night, entertainment will be provided by The Robinson Family. The Vogues will entertain Samboree attendees on Saturday night.
The event will wrap up with a special church service on Sunday morning featuring gospel singing by Laurel Jean.

• Based on the latest RV buying trends, by 2010, RVs will be owned by 8.5 million households.
• On average RV travelers spend about $91 per night in the community local to their chosen campground on gasoline, goods and groceries, according to the Recreation Industries Research Center at Michigan State University.
