Oregon Good Sam Club Chapters Invited to Enjoy the Fruits of Their Labor

Riverbend RV Park Grand Opening Set For May 17

(Foster, Ore.)- Throughout its history, the Good Sam Club has made a name for itself as the picture of helping out their neighbors, and some of the Oregon Good Sam Club Chapters are proving to be a prime example of that.

During the past several years, the Santiam Sams of Lebanon and the Williamette Sams of Albany have adopted Sunnyside Park and Waterloo Park, where they clean and help maintain the grounds. Last year, along with the Ready Roamers of Albany, those chapters were invited to campout at Riverbend RV Park located just outside of Foster while it was still under construction. During their stay at the facility, chapter members met with park managers and were asked to provide them with any helpful suggestions that might enhance the park before it opened. Chapter members not only provided much useful insight and feedback, but also lent a hand to prepare many sites for grass seeding.

Now, after months of finishing touches, the park is ready to be opened. To thank the chapter members for their significant contributions to the park, Brian Carroll, head of Linn County Parks has invited the chapters to attend the Grand Opening of the facility on May 17, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. The Good Sam Club members are also welcome to stay and camp for a couple of nights so that they can enjoy the park that they had a hand in completing.

“We are extremely proud of all of our chapters,” said Rebecca Zuniga, activities manager for Good Sam Club. “Our members are the reason the Good Sam Club has developed its wonderful reputation of service, and we are grateful to them for all of their hard work and dedication they give to the communities they live in. We are grateful to have chapters like those in Oregon who raise the bar in terms of helping out their community.”
