The Perfect Pit Stop on the Way to Daytona
(Tampa, Fla.-) The popularity of RVing has been on a steady increase with the influx of baby boomers into the market. At the same time, NASCAR fans have multiplied in recent years. As a result of those two growing markets, Camping World has discovered a new niche market of race fans that camp at the various tracks around the country.
As a preview to the Hershey's Kissable 300 in Daytona on February 18, Camping World will host a Pit Stop Race Event at the Tampa, Florida SuperCenter on February 10 & 11th, 2006. During these two days, customers are invited to visit the store to register to win prizes and participate in race-theme contests.
The Tampa Camping World SuperCenter will distribute a Race Day Tailgating Handout including the Busch series schedule, John Andretti bio, and a list of everything needed for race day tailgating to customers in store on the 10th and 11th. A Race Day Tailgating display will feature these products needed for race day tailgating with customers having the chance to register to win some of the merchandise on display.
Tampa SuperCenter customers can participate in the Pick the Winner Contest, in which the winning driver of the upcoming Busch race will be predicted. The grand prize for the Pick the Winner contest will be a $500 Camping World merchandise certificate. Customers will also have the chance to register to win a chance to see the race on February 18.
In conjunction with Camping World's 40th Anniversary year long celebration, customers are invited to enter the Camping World 40 - Remote Control Car Racing Competition for a chance to win a Featherlite Big-Wide Recliner and a race getaway trip to Charlotte, NC in October. Two competitions will be held on Friday, February 10 at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. with winners advancing to the championship race on Saturday, February 11 at 11:00 a.m.
