RV and Powersports Shows Benefit Consumers and Vendors
American Recreation Consumer Shows Serve the RV, Boat, Motorcycle, Snowmobile, ATV and Ice Fishing Markets

(Ventura, Calif.) - Earlier this year, Affinity Group, Inc. (AGI) announced the launch of American Recreation Consumer Shows (ARCS), a division that owns and operates recreation-focused, consumer-oriented shows throughout the United States. AGI's expertise in producing successful and long-running RV and powersports shows made ARCS a natural extension of the company. Less than a year after its inception, ARCS is the leading producer of regional recreation shows that cater to the RV, boat, motorcycle, snowmobile, all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and ice fishing industries.

Industry enthusiasts and exhibitors have come to rely on ARCS' shows as the strongest regional face-to-face selling events in their respective markets. The shows bring exhibitors and consumers together in one location, giving consumers access to the latest products and innovations and the ability to shop and compare dozens of dealers and top-of-the-line services.

"Our vision with this new division is to put more product, like RVs and boats, in front of consumers so they can see, touch and buy," explained Mike Schneider, president and CEO of AGI, when ARCS was announced as a new division last February.

Thus far, this vision has proven to be very successful in the eyes of consumers and exhibitors. The 41st Annual Minneapolis/St. Paul Snowmobile Show, held November 11-13, attracted more than 12,000 attendees and left many exhibitors sold out of merchandise. "It was amazing to see attendees leaving the show dragging bags out of the door because they could not carry all they had bought!" exclaimed Vilma Fraguada, general manager of the Minneapolis show team.

"Enthusiasts and vendors look forward to ARCS shows as a means of keeping up-to-date on technology," remarked Tom Gaither, vice president of ARCS. "These shows are a great place to interact with people who share a mutual passion for a sport or recreation in the quality environment that the AGI name ensures."

ARCS will host three more shows in the winter 2005 and spring 2006 seasons:

From December 2-4, ice fishing and winter sports fans are invited to the St. Paul River Centre in St. Paul, Minn. for the 13th Annual St. Paul Ice Fishing and Winter Sports Show, the biggest retail ice-fishing event in the state. With more than 100 exhibitors scheduled to be at the event, ice fishermen will find all the supplies they might need above the ice, under the ice or for getting through the ice. As an added highlight, ice-fishing expert Dave Genz, inventor of The Clam Ice Fishing Systems, will be at the show to share his expertise knowledge with his fellow ice fishermen.

To prepare for the spring vacation season, the 39th Annual Minneapolis/St. Paul RV, Vacation & Camping Show will be held February 8-12, 2006, at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis, Minn. The show is widely recognized as the largest consumer show in the five-state area of Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Enthusiasts will have the opportunity to select from more than 400 trailers and RVs, including pop-ups, travel trailers, conversion vans, park models and Class A, B and C motorhomes. Information on campgrounds, lodges, resorts and travel destinations across the United States and Canada will also be available.

The Spring Pomona RV & Outdoor Lifestyle Show is scheduled for April 20-23, 2006, at the Pomona Fairplex in Pomona, Calif. to help devotees prepare for the summer season. The top names in the RVing and boating industries will be showcased and will feature information about campsite destinations, lakes, cabins and a plethora of RV, boat, motorcycle and ATV accessories.
