"'Tis the Season" Giving is a Year-Round Endeavor for Affinity Group, Inc.
Company Contributes to Local and International Organizations

(Ventura, Calif.)-Christmas is a time when giving and lending a helping hand is abundant, but for Affinity Group, Inc. (AGI), www.affinitygroup.com and its subsidiaries, it's a year-long venture. Throughout the year, employees and AGI affiliated club members have given of their talents and time through numerous hours of community service projects and have provided several organizations with monetary support as well.

Affinity Group's long-standing record of community service and support has earned them the honorable Large Business Award from the Ventura, California Chamber of Commerce in the past. The award recognizes businesses in the community for their involvement and commitment to the Ventura community.

"Affinity Group prides itself on a strong sense of community," said Mike Schneider, CEO for Affinity Group. "We recognize that being part of a community means not only helping out locally, but in other areas of the world as well."

This past year, AGI made several contributions to various organizations, including AIDS research, Boy Scouts of America, Cancer Research, Hospice, Interface Children & Family Services, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Ventura County Meals on Wheels, Windsong Ranch, World Vision, and several youth programs, including the Boys and Girls Club.

AGI's contributions are not exclusive to organized charities, however. Each year, throughout their various locations, the company adopts a family or families who are less fortunate in an effort to make their holidays a little more pleasant.

"The holidays are supposed to be a wonderful time of year," continued Schneider. "We realize that some people do not always have the same fortune we have to enjoy the holidays, so that's why we try to reach out. We know we can't help everyone, but the looks on the faces of those we can help make our efforts completely worth-while."

One of AGI's member organizations is the Good Sam Club, www.goodsamclub.com. The Good Sam Club was founded in 1966 and is the world's largest RV owner's organization with nearly one million member families. Each year, Good Sam members
throughout the United States and Canada volunteer for National Clean-Up Day. Clean-Up Day unites members in an effort to beautify campgrounds and parks, and is sponsored by the Good Sam Club. In 2004, members from over 70 chapters contributed nearly 10,000 hours of collecting numerous bags of trash from clean-up locations. The Club has been conducting the National Clean-Up Day program since 1996.

In addition to their work with National Clean-Up Day, members of the Good Sam Club also donate their time as Standby Sams, a program which features volunteers who "stand by" to help travelers who are on the road and may need assistance. This year, over 1,200 members were on-hand to provide assistance. Members have also contributed over 438,000,000 hours as Campground Hosts. Through the Campground Host program, members volunteer at State Parks to assist visitors in any way possible.

Good Sam members also provide assistance to Dogs for the Deaf, a national Hearing Dog training and placement service that rescues and trains shelter dogs to become Certified Hearing Dogs for deaf and hearing impaired individuals. In 2004, Good Sam Chapters and individual members raised more than $100,000 for the program.

"We are very fortunate to have such remarkable Club members," said Sue Bray, Good Sam Club's Executive Director. "They do an exceptional job of carrying on the Good Sam name through all of their volunteer efforts. We appreciate all of the wonderful work they do for us." The Club is also a charter member of Take Pride in America, a national program that encourages citizen stewards to take part in protecting and restoring public lands. The program assists the United States government in achieving their stewardship mission for public lands and public places and engaging people in outdoor experiences.

Camping World, the nation's leading supplier of RV accessories, supplies, and services, also does their part in giving back. This past year, they donated tents and sleeping bags to area shelters to help with the relief effort after Hurricane Charley left many people homeless. In addition, they are currently holding district contests to help raise money for the Red Cross.

AGI's generosity even extends to the corporate level. The company proudly matches certain contributions made to personal charities. In previous years, employees have raised money for programs benefiting AIDS, March of Dimes, Muscular Dystrophy, Breast Cancer, bone marrow transplants and organ transplant patients. The company is also a proud sponsor of various community organizations that their employees are involved in.

"One of the things we enjoy most about our contribution matching program is the fact that it allows us to help out so many different people for so many different causes," continued Schneider. "There are so many people who could really use a helping hand, and we are proud that we can contribute."

"At AGI, we believe it is important to do our part in making a difference," stated Schneider. "Each of our executives, employees, and individuals associated with AGI looks forward to any opportunity they are offered to serve the community."
