Good Sam Club Records Large Growth, Introduces New Look, Content for Club Magazine

(Ventura, CA.) - The Good Sam Club, the world's largest RV owner's organization with nearly 1 million member families, is introducing a new look and content to its monthly membership magazine, Highways. The monthly magazine is published exclusively for Good Sam Club members as a member benefit.

Highways features travel and technical stories each month, along with RV industry news and profiles on unique Club members. It's the most widely read publication in the RV industry with approximately 2 million readers each issue.

Starting with the December 2004 issue, it will also include a campsite cooking column by Bob Blumer, the creator and host of The Food Network's The Surreal Gourmet, as well as shorter, more informative features that highlight some of the many benefits members receive. Many of its regular columns have been renamed and have updated content, and the magazine will utilize six different icons throughout the text to make it easier for readers to identify Club-related programs and benefits, and how and where readers can save money.

"I think readers will like what they see in the new Highways," said Associate Publisher Ron Epstein. "Our goal is to feature valuable RV information, and show them as many of the Club-related benefits in each issue as possible because there's more to us than meets the eye."

The Good Sam Club was founded in 1966 and has long been recognized as the leader in RV services and benefits. Members receive discounts on campgrounds, fuel and books, and have access to its free RV trip routing, Emergency Road Service, RV insurance, RV tours and its network of local camping groups, called "chapters." The Club's website (www.goodsamclub.com) receives more than 1 million visits each month, and is a constant source of information.

"The goal of Highways is to serve and inform our membership," Epstein said. "We did that before the redesign, but we're doing it much better now. "

For a free copy of Highways or membership information on the Good Sam Club, call 800-234-3450 or visit its website at www.goodsamclub.com.
