Lamplight Equestrian Center (Wayne, Illinois). Kansas City, Missouri. NRHA Derby (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) Louisville, Kentucky. All Stops In Between.
The Equine Motorcoach™ and Equine Carriage Trailer are on the road for the month of June and are stopping at horse shows and private stables along the way. Ben Yates, national sales manager, for Equine Motorcoach is already at Lamplight Equestrian Center for the Showplace Spring Spectacular II and the area through June 16.
Lamplight Equestrian Center is a unique 55-acre facility devoted exclusively to the production of the highest quality regional, national, and international horse shows. The guiding principle throughout the development of Lamplight has been to create an environment commensurate with the elegance and majesty of the sport.
Lamplight is located in Wayne, Illinois, 45 minutes west of Chicago in the heart of horse country. The nearby cities of St. Charles and Geneva, 5 minutes away, provide numerous lodging, dining, and entertainment options. The countryside surrounding the equestrian center is home to the Wayne-DuPage hunt.
Showplace Productions is a professional equestrian event management company producing events in the Midwest. They provide services to show committees, exhibitors, sponsors, vendors, and spectators. The Spring Spectaculat II event features some of the top hunter/jumper horse and competitors in the Midwest. The $50,000 Barrington Saddlery Grand Prix benfits Assistance in Healthcare. $10,000 High Junior/Amateur Jumper Classic is a Show Jumping Hall Of Fame event. The show has classes for all levels of horses and riders in multiple rings throughout the equestrian center.
The transports then head to Kansas City for a planned stop at a private facility for a showing. "Just call me and we will come see you," said Yates. "There is no better time for you to see us and I am happy to give you my cell number here so you can call me - (502) 612-1113. We are making horse calls!"
The final stop before heading back to Louisville, Ky. is the NRHA Derby. With more than $650,000 in estimated added money, the NRHA Derby runs for one week, June 20 - 27, in Oklahoma City and showcases the world’s best four-, five- and six-year-old reining horses. Thousands of spectators, exhibitors and horses attend the event each year. The Derby is one of two major events presented by NRHA each year in Oklahoma City and includes two full slates of ancillary reining classes in addition to the aged-event action. The NRHA Derby also hosts the Interscholastic Equestrian Association Western National Finals, United States Equestrian Federation classes and Federation Equestre Internationale classes.
