The cold weather is slowly making its way down to South Louisiana and it’s a great time to be outside. Lafayette is the perfect place for outdoor cook-offs, exquisite food, camping, cultural festivals, and the sound of Acadiana. Plan a weekend trip to our city and ShopLafayette will help show you a fun time.

There Are Many Great Local Grocery Stores in Lafayette Parish

Visit Heleaux’s Grocery on the corner of Verot School and Vincent Roads to prepare for a family BBQ, football tailgating party or even a chance to camp out at the Black Pot Festival. Heleaux’s is a local full service grocery store with an emphasis on Premium Specialty Meats, fresh boudin, fresh sausage, ka-bobs, and weekly specialty stuffings.  Visit their Facebook page and like this picture and answer the question, “What would you buy if you got LUCKY and WON a $100 Heleaux's Gift Card?” for a chance to win a $100 gift card. The drawing will be this Saturday October 25.

Weekend Fun and Sales

If you enjoy camping, delicious food, Cajun and Zydeco music, then be sure to grab a ticket to the Black Pot Festival located at the Acadian Village this Friday and Saturday. The Boudin Cookoff  in Downtown Lafayette on Saturday will also be going on at the Parc Sans Souci from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. It is free for all ages and includes fun jumps, face painting, games for kids, and live local music.
