Dunn’s Furniture & Interiors is Sponsoring the American Heart Association’s 2014 Lafayette Go Red for Women Luncheon
(Lafayette, La.) – Dunn’s Furniture & Interiors,
one of the leading furniture and interiors businesses in Acadiana, is a sponsor for the Lafayette Go Red for Women Luncheon by the American Heart Association (AHA).
Judy Dunn, owner of Dunn’s Furniture & Interiors, is not new to community philanthropy. She is passionate about giving back to the community in any way she can, especially by supporting non-profit organizations such as the AHA.
AHA’s Go Red for Women Luncheon works to spread education and awareness that heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in women. The movement also encourages women in their communities to make their heart health a top priority so they can live longer and healthier lives.
“With sponsors like Dunn’s, we are able to continue our women’s research and education programs to bring the message to Acadiana,” said Laura Broussard, Regional Director for AHA.
This year the luncheon will host Katherine Switzer, the first women to run the Boston Marathon, as the keynote speaker. There will be an educational breakout session along with a Purse-onality Auction to benefit the AHA.
The event will be held Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the Lafayette Hilton – 1521 West Pinhook. Doors open at 10am; the educational breakout session and auction will begin at 10:30. To purchase tickets visit heart.org/lafayettegored and click on “Support.”
