Camping World Sponsored Concert Tour Heads to Paducah
George Jones National Tour Joined by World's Largest Supplier
Of RV & Camping Accessories

(Bowling Green, Ky.) - Camping World, a retail and mail order supplier of RV products and services that cater to outdoor and RV enthusiasts, has joined forces with George Jones for his U.S. 2004 concert tour. The tour kicked off January 30 in Tunica, Mississippi to a sold out crowd and continues Saturday, August 21 in Paducah, KY. Jones will perform at venues throughout the United States with concert dates scheduled through November.

As part of the tour promotion, Camping World's flagship store in Bowling Green, 134 Beech Bend Rd. will be giving away two VIP ticket packages to the Paducah concert. Through August 19, visitors to the store can register for a chance to win two VIP tickets to the Paducah show, including a meet and greet with George Jones himself.

"Camping World is pleased to welcome George Jones to our home base and showcase where our outfit began," said Stefani Hamman of retail marketing with Camping World. "All of our stores are outfitted to promote the tour. We are looking forward to seeing old and new fans in our stores to register for these special prizes. We have met some great fans out on the road and are excited about being back in Kentucky."

Camping World has 36 stores across the country including the original store, which opened in Bowling Green in 1966. Camping World is the world's largest supplier of RV and camping accessories and services. Camping World's catalogue and online store, www.campingworld.com, make the retailer accessible to all markets throughout the United States.

In addition, Camping World carries a line of George Jones products, which were introduced in 2003. Already in stores are George's line of sauces including marinades and BBQ sauce.

In announcing the relationship, George Jones said: "The folks at Camping World have been real nice to us. We're excited about them being a corporate sponsor of the George Jones tour. We feel that this is a partnership that works well for everyone."

George Jones first hit the charts in the 1950's. In April 1999, he celebrated the 40th Anniversary of his first Number One record, White Lightning. It was also the year that Jones won his second Grammy as Best Male Country Vocalist for his performance on the single "Choices." His only previous Grammy was in 1981 for his performance of "He Stopped Loving Her Today."

Jones' Gold-selling 1999 COLD HARD TRUTH CD reminded fans and critics alike why he's considered "the greatest living country singer." "Choices," the first single from that album marked his 164th charted record. The Keith Stegall produced project earned Jones some of the best reviews of his already illustrious career and ensured his place in the new millennium of country music.

When Harry Connick Jr. brought his latest Album to Nashville with a concert over the holidays, he brought George Jones on stage for a couple of songs. "He's an amazing talent," Connick says of the legendary country singer. "I don't know how someone can be that musical naturally. The sound of his voice is like something sent from God. George got the winning lottery ticket when it comes to a voice."

Whether the times have favored honky-tonk songs or lushly produced "pop" offerings, George Jones has continued to make his brand of country music, which has produced hits in every decade of the second half of the 20th century.
