Louisiana Company FuzziBunz® Modern Cloth Diapers Celebrates Earth Day at Great Cloth Diaper Change
(Lafayette, La.) — FuzziBunz® Modern Cloth Diapers, a Louisiana-based company doing business internationally, is celebrating Earth Day by participating in the third annual Great Cloth Diaper Change event on Saturday, April 20 at The Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The Great Cloth Diaper Change hopes to spread awareness of cloth diaper use and each year break its previous year’s record for most cloth diapers changed simultaneously. The Great Cloth Diaper Change wants cloth diaper changers to make their changes at 11 a.m. local time. To be registered as a diaper change for the Guinness World Record, the change must occur at an authorized host event.
Tereson Dupuy, a Louisiana native, is founder and CEO of FuzziBunz Modern Cloth Diapers, which has been in business for 13 years. Tereson is often referred to as the mother of the modern cloth diaper and is glad that cloth diaper use is growing.
“Cloth diapers lessen a family’s carbon footprint by preventing millions of unnecessary diapers from entering landfills,” says Dupuy. “Using cloth diapers eliminates the need for repeat manufacturing processes, limits the amount of raw materials and natural resources to make diapers, reducing a household’s waste and uses less energy for trash trucks to haul away diapers each week. Water, a renewable resource, is used to wash and reuse the diapers, just as you wash and reuse your clothes and dishes.”
FuzziBunz Cloth Diaper users make their cloth diapering experiences even greener by hang drying their diapers, using cold rinse cycles, using less detergent, having a 2-3 day supply on hand and buying energy efficient appliances.
Another way FuzziBunz customers can go green is by supporting a local or nearby retailer of FuzziBunz Modern Cloth Diapers. FuzziBunz sells their products direct from shop.FuzziBunz.com, but with retailers all over the country and internationally, buying from a nearby retailer supports local business and lessens the diapers’ carbon footprint from less shipping.
Tereson Dupuy will be representing FuzziBunz Modern Cloth Diapers at the Great Cloth Diaper Change Event at one of FuzziBunz’s newest retailers, Angel Britches, located in the Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge.
Tereson will be available for any questions about cloth diapering and environmentalism. Families familiar with and new to cloth diapering are encouraged to attend and be part of this record-breaking event.

Tereson Dupuy, a determined mother of three, invented FuzziBunz Modern Cloth Diapers 13 years ago because her son, Eden, was suffering from chronic diaper rash. She tried every cloth and disposable diapering system on the market to no avail. After an exhaustive search, she knew there had to be a better option.
Today, FuzziBunz diapers are found in hundreds of online and in-store boutiques and have been used by millions of babies around the world.
