Academy of Interactive Entertainment to Present at a Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce Event
AIE Sparks a Special Session of Connect Now!

(New Iberia, LA) – The Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce and The Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) present a special session of Connect Now!, a networking and information series frequently hosted by the Iberia Chamber. The event will take place on Thursday morning, March 22, 2012 at 7:30 am at the Hampton Inn in New Iberia.

Founded in 1996, AIE is a two-year non-profit training college that offers courses in game art, design, and programming as well as film and 3D design and visual effects.

It is a very exciting time for the digital animation industry in Louisiana, especially since the most recent Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film was awarded to a film produced at Moonbot Studios in Shreveport, LA. Students who graduate from AIE are highly qualified for this field, as well as others; AIE had a 100% job placement rate last year for their graduates.

The need for advanced digital imagery and programming is growing across all industries. While many graduates are advancing into the gaming industry workforce, many are seeking careers in other fields such as film, medical simulations, educational tools and petroleum industry solutions.

Meeting with decision makers and leaders in Iberia Parish will give AIE the opportunity to open Southern Acadiana to even more high-tech solutions and possibilities.

This event is open to the public and free.
